Robert Cray sings "Too many cooks are gonna spoil the stew" in the song of the same name... And he's right. When Robert Cray starts playin' and singin' R&B drenched blues, nobody cooks like him. Robert Cray's early band feature Cutris Salgado (Blues Brothers inspiration) and Richard Cousins on bass. They perform on "The Score", an album featuring an eerie rendition of "Who's Been Talkin", soulful "The Welfare"... later albums feature songs like "Ain't Nothin But A Woman", "Smokin Gun" and "Midnight Stroll". Robert Cray won a grammy playing blues and R&B... just goes to show the blues is alive and well as long as exciting blues musicians like Robert Cray come along...
