The peace sculpture - how about the "Blues for Peace" sculpture - stands across from the Cinematek theater
in Jerusalem on Derech Hebron. The words of Isaiah are written in Hebrew and Arabic. The base is made of machine guns and mortars beat into plowshears. The inscription is from Isaiah Chapter 2 Verse 4. It says-
"Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. And the shall beat their swords into plowshears and their spears into pruning hooks."
The Blues for Peace motto is based on this passage - "And they shall beat their swords into Guitars." Listen to the BFP Song
